Note: Refrigerate the pickles for a week to ripen. They will keep for about 2 months in the refrigerator.

I just this morning made these pickels. How long before they are "ripe" and how long will they last in the refrigerator?

Fantastic on their own, but somehow unbelievable on a brat. Make these, make some brats, and love this summer.

I cannot keep these in the fridge. Everyone in the house eats them and then demands more including people who would never bother to touch a store bought pickle.

I used this method and recipe to make green tomato pickle with the green tomatoes left in my garden, now that the seasons are turning. Absolutely bangin'--Makes me wish I had more green ones! Thanks, Alton!

This was a fast and easy recipe, I grew cucumbers this year and have been making dill pickles, however I wanted to try something new. Glad I did, these are so yummy my kids were begging for more. This recipe made me like sweeter pickles. I didn't have mustard seed or tumeric so I left them out. They still turned out great, I cant imagine them being better.

I have a bunch of garden cukes and have been searching for easy recipes all over. Finally had my hubby get some pickling spice (1/2 a tsp but in a 12 oz container, will have it forever. I have to admit I was worried about the sugar so I did 1 cup of regular sugar and about a 1/2 cup of splenda.
WOW, it was great!! I was surprised at myself, used the recipe exactly but the split of sugar, can't say more.
This is my first time reviewing anything on FN and have been registered and using other recipes for a very long time. It was great so I added more cukes to the cold juice to see how the cucumbers will pickle.

I made these with Splenda and they came out fine. I reject more than half the artifically sweetened recipes I try, but found these to be wonderful. Even if you don't have a problem with blood sugar, wouldn't you like a snack like this with practically no calories? That's certainly the other half of my porky agenda!

I made this with my 5 year old son and 5 year old nephew. They thought it was so cool we changed cucumbers into pickels. It made their tunafish sandwich even better with their own pickels. (They each made their own jar.
