This sandwich was really good. My sister and I saw the recipe and tried it the next day. We switched it up a little. We put mixed berry jam on one side and a light brush of balsalmic vinegar on the other side. Then grilled it on the outdoor grill. Crunchy good!!!

I served this at my apartment warming and EVERYONE loved it. I used raspberry preserves and thin sliced honey ham. It was so easy to make and surprisingly delicious. I served it with soup. Perfect for a party.

I WATCHED THIS EPISODE ON FOOD NETWORK AND I THOUGHT THIS RECIPE WAS INTERESTING. MY HUSBAND AND I LIKE TO TRY NEW EASY THINGS. WE MADE IT AND IT WAS A HUGE HIT!!! HOWEVER, IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE BRIE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE ADDING TO SANDWICH. THE CHEESE WILL NOT MELT IF IT ISN'T! AND IT DOES ALTER THE FLAVOR A BIT...NOT TO MENTION THE TEXTURE. I WOULD NEXT TIME USE A LITTLE SOFTER BREAD. BAQUETTES ARE REALLY CRUSTY WHICH IS GOOD BUT IT STARTS TO HURT YOUR MOUTH AFTER A WHILE.

Great flavor combos. Similar to the flavors of a monte cristo but much easier to make. Made this on the 4th of July for an appetizer everyone loved it. Husband loved it sooo much had to make it again the next day.
    Thanks Sandra.

I made this for a bridal shower that had a "Paris/French" theme. Ladies LOVED it. If possible don't make ahead of time and try to transport it-the bottoms got REALLY soggy. It was still a big hit!

This dish was a huge hit for my church group! They loved it and several people asked for the recipe. I used peach preserves, and since I couldn't find Brie I used Mozzarella cheese. It was wonderful. My husband had 4 pieces and since there is such much ham and cheese involved, it made a great meal! I'll definitely make this again.

My weekend guests really enjoyed this, and it also meets my holy trinity recipe criteria: delicious, easy, not expensive. I used smoked turkey and that went especially well with the brie and raspberry preserves. I wrapped in foil and baked in oven - turned out great. Next time as a variation I'm going to put on my Panini grill as suggested by one of the Reviewers. (I really do learn alot by reading the reviews. Thanks, Food Network! Another winner from Sandra; keep it up: you always come up with some wonderful recipes and innovative ideas! Many thanks!

We just tried this this evening and we were pleasantly surprised. It was so fast to make. We paired it with a salad and made it into a meal. The rasberry jam was a sweet twist...next time we may go savory. Will make again!
