I had thought of something similar, but had not thought of using the raspberry preserves. I varied the recipe by using croissants, and it was yummy. The preserves really do pair well with the brie and ham.

I used my panni grill to make this dish. My family loved the flavors of the sweetness of the jam and the savory of the ham. Add a green salad and what a great simple meal. Thanks Sandra for a quick and easy recipe.

I made this after viewing the show today. On the show, Sandra wrapped the sandwich in foil and cooked the it on the grill. She used an iron skillet to weight it down to make a panini. I did the same, only I made mine in the oven. It was great. Next time, I'm going to use 1/2 peach preserves and 1/2 hot pepper jelly instead of the raspberry--I think that will marry with the ham better, and make it a little more savory. With the raspberry jam, it is a great "chick" dish. Cudos to Sandra, and thanks for an easy new recipe to add to my files.
