    Perfect Ciambella! Just like we make it and we are 100% Italian.
    *My mother and grandmother sometimes used 1/3 cup olive oil instead of the 1/2 butter. You can try it-the results are very nice, too.
    As my mother and grandmother did, you can also serve this plain which is nice for breakfast, or you can take 1 or 2 quarts of fresh berries-can be a mix-of whatever berry is in season and is nice and fresh. Put them in a pan with a splash of fresh lemon or orange juice and one or two tablespoon of sugar. Boil for a minute and remove from heat to cool. Serve over this beautiful Ciambella or to the side.
