This sounds wonderful and I'm planning to make this for Thanksgiving but wondered if I could prepare in a crockpot. Any thoughts?

Simple to make and simple to eat!
Decadent - even the kids didn't think they were vegetables!
I could have eaten the whole pot!

This was my first time making yams and this recipe was great. I did add some nutmeg and ciinnamon and they turned out great. Will be using this recipe for the Holidays!!!

I made these for Thanksgiving, EVERYONE raved about them! I like everyone else, I added some cinnamon and nutmeg. They're not candied yams without them: I'll definitely make these again...maybe even tonight:~P

My sister made this today for my family's New Year's Day Dinner and it was amazing! It tasted just like my great-grandmother's recipe. The only things I would add would be a teaspoon of nutmeg and a dash of cinnamon. This is the real deal; thanks Keyshawn's mom! :

I made these potatoes and added a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon and they were absolutely the BEST we've had in years. This is definitely a recipe worth hanging on to. We have a new holiday addition to our traditional menu.

I did the yams and used them as a dressing over the slice turkey instead of the gravy and let me tell you , it complimented the adobo and sazon I used for the turkey . the yams will b e a traditional dressing in my home . thank you Mrs Keyshawn , kudos to you
