When I want to make a scrumptious dinner for the family, i go here, because this is the best teriyaki sauce (aside from restaurant-made I have ever tasted! Compliments to the maker!

Over the years I have been trying different teriyaki sauce recipe and this one is the best by far.
This recipe is excellent. I make my own sweet rice wine (1/2 cup raw sugar + 1/2 sake wine So much better and no hight fructose corn syrup. :

This is great! Great basic recipe and very tasty. It's so basic that it's very easy to adjust according to what you are cooking. Tonight I made salmon fillets but I think this can easily be adapted to beef, such as a London Broil by adding some onions, more garlic and couple dashes of sesame oil then using about a 1/4 of the mixture before reducing as a marinade. For the salmon tonight, I added a few dashes Worcestershire, dash of red pepper flakes then served it topped with a little toasted sesame seeds. Side dish was lightly steamed string beans with a little drizzle of the sauce and seeds with rice. Wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it.

Okay recipe. The sauce was a little thin for chicken wings, which is what I used it for. My suggestion would be to eliminate the water and go slightly heavier on the ginger, and a little more brown sugar or regular sugar to get a nice thick and sweet teriyaki sauce for chicken wings.

I really enjoy this recipe a lot. I'm not a fan of ginger, but I used everything else.

Used this recipe on my chicken wings last night and it turned out GREAT. The best part of the recipe is that it contains most things you will already have on hand. I did not have the rice wine, but I read the comments and found that apple cider vinegar was a good substitute, and it was. I can also see where you can add ingredients to make it more personal, like adding honey, crushed red pepper flakes, tabasco, or even molasses. It's a really good recipe and all my wings were gone in 5 minutes. Will make again.
