The best waffles I've had!! My family loves it and always ask me to make them. I've even made extra and freeze them and all we have to do is pop it in the toaster oven. They still taste great and if you want them crispier set the oven on toast. Delicious!!

I made the strawberry sauce to put over cheesecake for dessert on Christmas Eve. DH and I tasted the sauce early in the day..... needless to say we could not wait until dessert!! I made a batch with strawberries and a batch with blackberries and mixed them together. Oh, it was heaven!

    Wimpy/floppy waffles. Not much taste.

I was very excited about this receipt. I enjoy brown sugar and cinnamon and thought it would be great in waffles. I even went out and bought the butter milk just for this. But, it didn't turn out well at all. The waffles were not crisp for one, and that is a necessity for me and waffles. Secondly, the brown sugar/cinnamon taste just didn't work well for the waffle. We were so disappointed that after the second set turned out soft, we abandoned it and started a new batch using a different receipt.

An update to my prior review. The recipe was corrected regarding the butter. I still use 1 stick. So the mistake is good for me. I just whipped a batch last week. And they were still yummy.

After viewing the show and the reviews, I braved myself to try this recipe. I tried it on my girlfriends and they love the taste of the waffles. I do not like my waffles toasty and these are not. I only used 1 (one stick of butter. I did not make the strawberry sauce. I used plain out syrup. I will keep this recipe!!!

I tripled this recipe since we're a family of 5. We've got a LOT of waffles. They're super yummy, but I'd say it serves more than 2.

these waffles came out rather soggy...i tried to cook it longer and shorter, but overall my kids did not enjoy this particular waffle recipe. For ALL the bowls I had to wash, it wasn't worth it.

This is the best waffle recipe I've ever used and the only one I use now. The strawberry sauce is wonderful so much better than syrup. Everything is fresh and deliscious. I think everyone should try this recipe.

I haven't tried the waffles yet; I was looking for a strawberry sauce to go with AB's pancakes. At first taste I loved this sauce, however, after a few bites the lemon flavor was too much and overpowered the strawberries. I'm making this again and this time I'm omitting the peel and just going with the juice.
