This is my go to breakfast treat. I have been making it for years. Sometimes I add walnuts to the topping along with a little rolled oats. I like to add extra cinnamon in the apples too. I love this recipe, especially the taste of the lemon to add complexity to the sweet topping.

I watched Guy's DDD and saw someone making an apple pie German pancake. I was hoping this recipe would be similar, but it really wasn't. Easy to make, tasted just okay, but not something I'll likely make again.

I needed a pan size, in the directions, I think. I used 12 in curved sided...Checked the recipe, I did everything as it stated. At 450 degrees, my brand new oven burned it to a crisp in 10 minutes. What a waste.

I was a big fan of Gale Gand when she hosted the "Sweet Dreams" show on FN. I have used this recipe for several years and it's always delicious. Great wow factor with all the puffiness in the pan. My only recommendation is to not squirt with lemon until you've plated it because as soon as the acid hit my pancake, it quickly deflated it but it's absolutely delicious and a nice change for breakfast!

Tasted more like a sweet apple omelette or maybe a custard. Not sure what I did wrong. I actually measured with recipe - usually I don't measure anything! I guess it wasn't bad, but I am really questioning the 3 eggs to 1/2 cup flour ratio...

Relatively easy to make. It has been a long time since I had one of these at a restaurant but I think the restaurant version is more gooey (yes - fattening. I will add a little more brown sugar both to the apples and to the top next time. I made 2 pancakes for family of 4 (hungry teenager and we have 1/4th of a pancake left.

I've made this recipe many times, and every time it comes out delicious. I've used my old faithful cast iron pan, buttered it well, and the pancake slides out very easily. Sometimes I make this for dinner.........add some bacon and you're all set!!

These are just as good if not better than baked apple pancakes in any restaurant

Came out great, I'd suggest watching it in the last 10 minutes of the baking once you put the butter and sugar/cinnamon on, it might only need a few minutes. Other than that it came out almost exactly like the Big Apple at Original Pancake House.
