Very Tasty! I've made several other pancake recipes from here and these were the best so far. We loved how the chocolate chips melted and swirled in the batter, I just added a few chips to each cake at the pour, to have the chips in the cakes themselves. I will make these again, as requested from the kids :

Needed a last minute from-scratch recipe and it was straight forward and very easy to make. The batter seemed to be a bit runny, so the pancakes weren't as fluffy as other ones we have had. Putting the chocolate chips in before cooking the pancakes seemed a little strange - they all sunk to the bottom of the batter and weren't evenly dispersed and therefore melted a lot more in the actual pancake. Overall, the kids thought they were amazing and didn't really notice the lack of fluff. They thought they were one of the best pancakes they've had. Great recipe!

These are the BEST made-from-scratch pancakes....and I've tried many other recipes! Very fluffy and delicious! The only problem I have with this recipe is that it is a little too salty for my family's taste. I will cut the salt back next time...maybe to 1/4 t. since I use regular butter instead of unsalted butter. Also put the chocolate chips on to the batter once it is on the griddle. Other than that...perfect recipe!

Sprinkle the chips on the pancake immediately after pouring the batter on the griddle instead of mixing the chips in before pouring.

My son came up with the idea of topping them with marshmallow creme instead of syrup. These are easy to make, and perfect for a special breakfast or a dessert pancake.
I melt the butter in the microwave, then mix in the milk. This cools the butter so I don't have to wait for it to cool when making the pancakes.
