Pretty good, but i would suggest not to put nutmeg or yellow onions because yellow onions and nutmeg aren't a very Mediterranean ingredient and it kind of overpowers the Mediterranean and Greek feel of the dish and just turns it into a fake spinach pie or spanakopita as we might say in Greece.

Fabulous spinach pie!!! : I have also cut my phillo into strips and made small triangles for a cocktail party. They freeze very well so you can make them a day or so ahead. I did not add the nutmeg as I prefer without

i made one of these with and one without the nutmeg. i liked the one lacking the nutmeg better. i make about one of these week and eat the whole thing while watching the biggest loser. Gus Tselios did great work developing this recipe as he worked in his diner.

In response to Erene's comments and Melissa's review.
Gus Tselios "hired" uncle Gus (Kostantinos Garidas to bake spinach pie at the Marietta Diner for the tv show ONLY Diners,Drive Inns and Dives on Food Network Television .Uncle Gus has never work for Marietta Diner as believed by its clients.Uncle Gus then opened his own Diner in Catersville Ga. and have now been relocated. The recipe of the spinach pie sold to customers belongs to uncle Gus, the lie of making people believe that uncle Gus works at the Marietta Diner belongs to Gus Tselios whos success is based on violations and constant exploitation no on his recipes facts that are very well known.
Credit to who credit deserves,Gus Tselios does't know how to cook scrambled eggs.
So, when we talk about KARMA,may Erene and Gus Tselios know.

In response to Melissa's comment I would just like to say that I have been going to Marietta Diner since the day they opened their doors. The only Gus there was the owner Gus Tselios. There was no Konstadinos Garides (or Uncle Gus as you say there. Gus Tselios has been making his famous spinach pie since then and may I say that the one major reason my family and I went so often and continue to do so to Marietta Diner was and is just for Mr. Tselios's famous and delicious spinach pie. After reading your comment and wanting to try Mr Konstadinos spinach pie, my family and I went to the restaurant you mentioned at the address you have in your comment and it was "Out of Business." If your Uncle Gus deserves the credit (again as you say for the recipe, I believe he would be as successful as Gus Tselios and be able to keep one restaurant open. Mr. Tselios owns four (4 successful restaurants. As you said, lets give credit where credit is due. You cannot succeed on lies. That my dear is called KARMA.
