YUMMO!!!! This is definitely a keeper recipe. We did add a small chipotle pepper for a bit of heat. Other than that made it exactly to the recipe. Will be making this again and again!

This soup was amazing. I am going to bottle it as gifts for Christmas in large mason jars. I cannot quit eating it. I added one whole serrano chile for spice. Emeril has a simular receipe, but, I like this one best, although I will garnish with crumbled and browned sausage and chives from Emerils receipe.

Absolutely delicious!!!! Shortcut- instead of roasting the garlic for the puree. I bought a tube of garlic paste, it was perfect. This soup would definitely be a great Thanksgiving appetizer or first course. The house smelled awesome too. Perfect Fall comfort food.

A friend of mine and I had gone to lunch and had a wonderful sweet potato soup. We wanted to create it at home, so I came to Food network. this s oup was better than the one we had out. Easy to make delicious and creamy. I have even substituted evaporated milk to cut the fat and it is still wonderful!

This was a very easy soup to make with basic ingredients. I added an 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper and increased the brown sugar to 4 Tbsp..... I guess my sweet potatos were not sweet enough. I also broke down and bought whole nutmeg instead of using the preground stuff and what a difference. Friends at work raved about it.

This soup was simple to make, very quick and tasted spectacular. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner as an appetizer, and it was a hit!!! I didn't use the cream in the soup, only as a decorative accent. The soup didn't even need it. Wonderful!!! will definitely make again!!!

More than I expected in every regard. There's a lot of soup, a lot of flavor, and a lot of my time well spent. This was relatively easy, as far as soup making goes, and the flavor is spot on. I actually followed this recipe to a t, as I wasn't feeling imaginative today, and I am pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
