This came out really good. Unfortunately, I chose this as the time to try my new food processor - so my carrots were shredded instead of chopped. And, like another reveiwer, I mashed the potatoes with the skins on.

I love this recipe! I modify the potatoes by just scrubbing instead of peeling them. I also give the meat a little extra loving by sprinkling a little extra worcestershire as the veggies cook. I've even made them fancier by topping the potatoes with bits of Manchego cheese...yum!
Oh great...now I have to make this dish! Anyone want to come over for dinner?

Lamb makes all the difference in the world! Could use a bit more cheese.

Thank you for this recipe. Wanted something near St. Patricks Day instead of Corned Beef which we already had the other day. My husband has never had Shepperd's Pie before.
This recipe is very easy to make and quite tasty. I did add corn to the recipe at the same time I added the peas.
This is a winner winner.

OH MY GOODNESS! This recipe was just amazing!! I have never tried Shepherd's Pie before and I was blown away by the flavor! I used a pound of lean hamburger mixed with a pound of venison, and instead of the white cheddar, I just used aged yellow cheddar (cheaper:. But I will be making this again, for sure^_^ Delicious!

This was delicious and so simple to make. My family loved it. I was surprised to see it had no corn in it. I made corn on the side and it was perfect. I am adding this to my "favorites".

Absolutely the best! I've been making this since 2008 and it's still a big hit in my household. I have learned over time how to tweak this to perfection. I use half beef and half lamb, add a little more celery and add chopped baby Bella mushrooms. I put the oven on broil for the last two minutes (watching it carefully until it's browned to perfection!

This tasted amazing. Used ground beef. I incorporated the suggestions from the reviews and as a result added: 2.5 Tablespoons of tomato paste in total, added another tblspn of Worcestershire sauce (3 Tablespoons in total, added a bit of red pepper flakes, paprika, thyme and rosemary into the meat mixture. I also used corn instead of peas and omitted celery and carrots since my husband doesn't like them.
For the mashed potatoes - I used half&half cream instead of heavy cream.
Overall it was "in my husband word's" awesome!
I made mushroom gravy on the side as well.

Great recipe. I added some chopped fresh thyme and rosemary I had on hand and a rounded tbsp of tomato paste, other than that I followed the recipe exactly.
