Read previous comments about it being too sweet, so I used half the fruit and a bit less sugar and it came out delicious!

I love this dish! It's easy and quick...I think the fruit was just the right amount, and I liked the sweetness. I think I'll add a few more nuts next time. I would suggest toasting the hazelnuts and the slivered almonds separately -- mine cooked at different rates, and the almonds could have gone a bit longer. Also, I found the couscous difficult to fluff in the saucepan, so ended up dumping it into a very large bowl to separate the clumps. This recipe does make a large quantity, so if you have a small family or aren't sure how much you'll like it, you might try 1/2 a recipe the first time. Thanks, Giada for another winner!

I made a half-batch, just in case I didn't like it, but fortunately, it turned out great! I did used a full cup of fruit, half the couscous, and half a cup of nuts. Used pistachios instead of hazelnuts, and just 1 T of sugar. I bet that it would be delicious with the full amount of sugar, but I wanted to cut out some, as the fruit is already sweet. Couscous is naturally somewhat dry, but I can see how it might need some moisture... I tried it with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of cinnamon and it was delicious!

Couscous is a great side in itself. Combine it with dried fruits and toasted nuts, amazing!! Super easy to make and goes great with spicy meats..... and wine...

Way too sweet! Between the sweet couscous and the fruit, it was too much. Also, I didn't think the portions were correct - when I was done it was a ton of couscous and not enough fruit

Just made this for the second time and my husband and I both love it! He likes couscous but was initially skeptical about all the dried fruit. He's a convert and for the second batch he even chopped up the fruit!! I used the dried fruit from the recipe along with pecans and almonds and have not added any olive oil either time and I think it's just great. We're not big fans of sweet foods but this is not overly sweet so it's just enough. Try it!!!

Even though I'm a college student on a tight budget I'm going to make this as much as I can! Just have to wait for the dried fruit to go on sale! This was the first time I had couscous and omg I love it! It's like a mix between noodles and grits. I didn't add nuts because they're too expensive and the recipe still turned out great. I also used a bag of dried mixed fruit instead of buying everything individually.
I love this dish. Probably the best I've tried off of food net.com. Thanks Giada!! :D

I made this for a lighter version of my husband's favorite rice pudding. It was awesome! I used pecans and almonds and the same dried fruit as in the recipe. I added my fruitiest olive oil, just a light drizzle, on top. We ate it right out of the fridge for breakfast. I will be making this again.

I would give this 10 stars if I could! I did not add the olive oil and I used a 10 oz box of couscous and it came out perfect (at least to me. Giada thank you for this recipe!! It is a perfect snack. The only problem is that I want to eat all of it in one sitting - and this recipe makes a lot. Will definitely be making this again.
