This soup is smooth and satisfying. I used rotisserie chicken for speed and fresh rosemary in the herb bundle. Paired with a quick salad (torn romaine, slivered, toasted almonds, toasted sesame seed, parmesan cheese tossed with Good Seasons Italian salad dressing (made with red wine vinegar and EVOO, it's a quick and satisfying meal.

    Wonderful!!
I've made this recipe several times for some very good cooks and they, too, rave about it being wonderful. Sometimes, I puree the veggies and add small bits of chicken later and that makes a great cream of chicken soup. This recipe is a keeper. I also add some chicken flavored base for more chicken taste.

My fiancee had his wisdom teeth out, so I needed to make him a relatively smooth soup, and he chose this one. I made 2 changes. I cut up the raw chicken to cook in the soup and added it when I added the broth to the pot, and when the soup was done cooking, I put it through the blender to puree it (so my fiancee wouldn't have big chunks to struggle eating. The taste was delicious from all of the butter and the cream, and it tasted almost cheesy. My fiancee loved it as well, so I was happy. I'd make this again and again.

I followed the recipe but made my own broth and added a can of southwestern style corn with black beans, onions and bell peppers. After I poured the soup in the bowl I added a little bit of Frank's hot sauce and finished it off with tortilla chips....yummy yummy yummy!!!! Will definitely make it again soon!

My students made this soup and they all loved it. It was easy for them to follow and tasted good. We added a frozen bag of corn to add to it. It would taste great with freshly baked biscuits or topped with dumplings.

I was searching recipes and came upon this one. I did read most of the reviews and each one rated it very high. I followed the recipe but did add two Idaho diced potatoes cooked with the onion, celery & carrot. It does taste like a chicken pot pie only it's soup - as I love pot pie, it was very appealing.

This was a 5 star by everyone in my family. I made my own broth out of leftover whole chicken with the spices listed. Did not have cream or sherry so I omitted it from the recipe and it came out fine. I also added 3 russet potatoes diced. Would recommend this to anyone.
