Outstanding! mushrooms were lovely! I used a mushroom pasta, which just added to the flavor, I had to cook the steak about 6 min per side (broiled. Husband loved it!

The steak was ok, but we all love the mushrooms. Some days I crave them. So good!

All ingredient portions are wrong (2 tbls. of heavy cream, yea right. Try a CUP. 1 lb. of mushrooms is way too much (unless you like earthy/peaty sauce, try 1/4 that. I'm a decent chef & pretty much everything I try from this site is pretty spot on, but this, no. I think these reviews were written by "Food Network" employees. The sauce needs more cream & wine than the recipe says (2 tbls. cream & 1/4 cup of wine..... please. Use portobellas instead of a variety & 1/2 of the shallots. I might try this again, but w/ my own tweeks, & by then it won't be the same recipe (thank goodness.

This was good but not great. The mushroom sauce can be made with any steak. I was hoping the meat would be more tender but it tasted like London broil with mushrooms.

This was absolutely awesome! You guys rock! We LOVED the new twist on mushrooms. I'll certainly use the mushroom recipe with lots of dishes. The steak was incredible as well. 31/2 min per side was perfect. Served it with smashed cauliflower and we couldn't get enough of it all. I've not been able to prepare flank steak well previously but I've got it now. It was great and we are pretty picky steak eaters. Thanks I can't wait to try more flank steak recipes.

This was awesome and so easy. I'm a beginner cooker and griller and I was able to do this all on my own.
The flank steak was good, tasted like steak but when you added the mushrooms, OMG! So delicious!!!!!
Followed the recipe to a T.

The flank steak was just okay, I'd rather use flatiron next time. But the mushroom sauce was incredible. I'd use it on any kind of beef or pork, anytime. My family was swooning over it. I served mashed potatoes as a base and arranged the steak slices on top -- sauce went great with both. Served a nice spinach salad with a vinaigrette on the side. Fabulous dinner!

My fiance has a notoriously picky family with a taste for high class food. This recipe was a huge hit with all of them, and has been requested again! Easy to make, smells heavenly, and very amatuer friendly. Also, goes well with just about any side dish.
