My husband and I just finished this tasty recipe for beef stroganoff. I will definitely make it again. Lots of butter, so a once in a while meal! I doubled the onions, since we love them. It think it would be a good meal to serve to company. A nice chopped salad, homemade dressing and some crusty bread completed the meal!

Tasty recipe. The sauce was very flavorful, but there was no where near enough of it.

This was delicious! I did make some changes based on preferences and what I had in the house. I did not have beef broth, so I had to use chicken. To try to tone down the chicken taste, I used 1-1/2 cups of chicken broth, 1/2 cup white wine and some Worcestershire sauce. I, also, did not have tomato paste, so I used tomato sauce. I deleted the lemon juice, because my husband and I are not big lemon fans. I, also, increased the sour cream slightly and added a clove of garlic. I was really nervous about the taste since I used chicken broth instead of beef, but it was still delicious!

This recipe is really, really awesome!! I made a few modifications: substituted steak sauce for tomato paste, substituted scallions for parsley, added garlic (in with sauteed mushrooms, and omitted lemon juice. This is the second time I have made it, and it is now one of my 'go to' dinners. Thank you so much!

Very good recipe! I did have to add a little more flour because it was a little "thin" sauce. I will make this again! Yummy!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am a convert! The tomato paste mustard and lemon add a zest to this dish that goes from a hearty (albeit boring winter dish to a hearty, "Spring is coming!" kind of dish! I'm not a gourmet cook but I am a foodie and enjoy well made, tasty and interesting dishes. This hit the spot, literally and figuratively. I substituted tofu sour cream (what??? as I'm trying to minimize my dairy and animal products and substitute when I can; the dish was amazing. I'm sure others may be able to tell the difference and if one insists I'm sure it would taste just as wonderful with regular sour cream. I also used lean organic sirloin. This is the second time I've made it; it was the end of the month before payday and I used hamburger from the freezer instead. The sauce definitely makes this go from yum to wow!

Thought this dish was excellent. Used round steak sliced thin, cooked in butter but then simmered in beef broth for an hour. Meat turned out nice and tender. Discarded extra broth before adding it to sauce mixture. Lemon and parsley really add to the dish. As some other folks, I too reduced the amount of butter in the dish.
