This is a "good" recipe, but not unforgettable. I thought the combination was going to be outstanding, but was left with a feeling that it needed more kick - specifically from the cheese. I will try it again, but with a bittier cheese, like Asiago perhaps. The fontina was bland and didn't seem to add anything to the dish. I loved the apricot preserves. The proscuitto I bought may have been a little better quality, I think. It was bland as well.

My husband and I tried this recipe over the weekend and we both loved it. My husband is typically a meat, potato and pasta man that enjoys simple, standard recipes. He was skeptical, but really enjoyed it.

I made this for my New Years Day snack. I made 3 slices and had that along with a few Mojitos, great combination of flavors. I was on my last slice before I realized I had forgotten to add the cheese to the assembly, but it was still great. BTW, it was not the faullt of the Mojitos that I forgot the cheese.

This is a winner! Last night I attended a New Year?s Eve Party where everyone was to bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer. I wanted to bring something sophisticated and appropriate for a sort of wine and cheese party. I brought these and they were the hit of the party. The combination of the sweet of the preserves and the savory and saltiness of the prosciutto and chicken and creaminess of the fontina and crunch of the bruschetta was a perfect balance. Everyone kept inquiring and wanting to know what the sweet taste was ? it was such an unexpected surprise. I made a lot them and kept refilling the platter and they just kept disappearing. I saw one guy camp out next to the platter and he just kept sneaking them in ever so often. They were time consuming to prepare and the prosciutto and fontina were pricey but well worth it if you want to make a big impression. I found the ciabatta at my local Safeway store but to save some time I opted for a big bag of precut baguettes. I recommend setting aside some time prior to right before the event for preparation. Cut up the cheese and chicken and prosciutto ahead of time and then later all you have to do is assemble. I found it a little tricky to set up the prosciutto on top to make a pleasing presentation. I also took the earlier recommendation and popped them in the oven (covered with foil just to melt the cheese a tad. I will definitely be making this in the future. Thanks Giada!

I made this for my family on Christmas and nobody could get enough. I ended up making 3 more loads! The combination of savory and sweet is truly phenomenal. =] A good idea that my grandmother suggested, pop it under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the proshuitto and slightly melt the cheese! I will definitely be making this one for many more years!

I would not have imagined that the combination of these flavors could be so good! I am glad I was willing to experiment with my tastebuds because this is one of my favorite recipes that I have ever tried! It is simple to make, but definitely has a very gourmet look & taste. This would be a great recipe for someone who doesn't cook very often & wants to make a big impression! I highly recommend that you try it
