Oh MY LORD this banana bread is awesome! I added about 3 tbsp finely shredded dried coconut and drizzled an orange glaze on top (powdered sugar, fresh orange juice + 1 tbsp orange zest. All I have to say is Wow!

TOTALLY agree with others, this is my third or fourth recipe I have used for banana nut breads/muffins and my family and I are LOVING this one... I think it might be our fave. It's not too sweet, a tiny more on the dense side but I don't mind because it's a bread- NOT a muffin/cake. So know that it will be very moist, but will have the texture of a bread. I added mini choc chips to 1/2 the loaf and it still baked well. Used pecans instead of walnuts and my Hubby LOVED it. My ONLY complaint is that the edges got a little dry and pretty browned with the time it took for the center to set and cook-through. Other than that.. it was da bomb.

BEST banana bread recipe I have ever made, moist and rich. Batter is light and fluffy almost like cake but dense enough to count as bread! I used brown sugar, and it was yummy! easy to make!

This banana bread is delicious! After trying one other banana bread recipe that was highly rated on this site (and reviewed it. It was good but very dry and not amazing, I continued my search for the perfect banana bread. This recipe IS the best! Highly recommend it! The only complaint is that it doesn't make a lot, the loaf is smaller than other loafs I've made, but I'll just double it next time!
