I fixed the for friends along with the Broiled Tilapia with mustard-chive sauce (Giada De Laurentiis. One of the friends said this was his new favorite meal at my house! And I do have to point out he is a great cook. I did put the yams in my Vita-Mix as I do not have a ricer or food mill. They were pureed more than mashed. I put the Tilapia on top of the potatoes and then the sauce on the fish. It was very good and it will be going in my personal file for another day, soon.

I liked this recipe. Easy to make and I thought they were tasty. However, my husband and kids all hated it. None of them are picky eaters. My husband thought it tasted like an orange popsicle. I disagree, but I certainly won't be making this again!

It was tasty and light. Perfect. Next time, will try microwaving the sweet potatoes.

These are sooooooo good and my family loves them. Loaded with all the vitamin goodness of sweet potatoes since they are not boiled in water.

What a wonderful recipe - brings out the natural goodness of the potatoes and is very flavorful without being too sweet.

My suggestions: microwave the potatoes - it is quicker and didn't change the flavor. Also, I quadrupled the amounts here for Thanksgiving. It is wonderful reheated. Third, I made ahead and then reheated after the turkey came out of the oven.

Candied yams are too sweet for my taste -- this is perfectly sweet and delicious, but not overwhelming. The texture is great, too!
