This is an amazing recipe. It's simply the best pecan pie you'll ever taste. Perfect crust, perfect texture and flavor - nice and sweet and great depth of flavor with the bit of bourbon. A winner every time!!

I made this for the first time today, and I have to say, this was the best pecan pie I have ever eaten, and may I say I've eaten a few being it's my favorite pie! I followed the directions to the exact using Jim Beam. The only complaint I have is the crust was quite bland and too flaky for my liking. I think next time I will use my own crust recipe.

Made this pie many times over, I have to say a store bought frozen crust was the best with this recipe, the filling is still the best I have ever had!

My family couldn't get ENOUGH of this pie!

If you're not a bourbon drinker but still want to use bourbon in the recipe, head to a reputable liquor store that offers the small bottles commonly served by the airlines -- the bottles contain about the same measure as you need for the recipe (2 tbsp.

I have made this pie 2-3 times. It is always a hit...I come from a line of good 'pie makers' and this recipe helps me live up. I do just buy the crust - just easier. Make sure you roast the nuts, I think it is the difference between good and great.

I only had one little bite of the whole pie and thought it was pretty good, but my husband LOVED it - so much that he ate the rest of it. We used 2 tbls of bourbon.

I admit it. I'm not a baker and don't care to bake but I wanted to make this pie for Thanksgiving. I tried to make the dough and it came out really bad so I went to the store to buy Pillsbury pie crust. The filling was easy to make, I omitted the brandy since I didn't have any in the house. This pie turned out to be a hit. Everyone couldn't get enough. I wish I had made 2. I drizzled a little bit of chocolate syrup on the top of each slice and topped with whipping cream. Since I have one more pie crust left from the package, I think I'll make this again this weekend. Very, very good.

I used my own crust recipe, but the filling was awesome (I nixed the bourbon though because I didn't have it in my pantry and added a little extra vanilla and layered beautifully after cooking. It definitely got rave reviews from my in-laws and my husband this year!
