I caught the segment when Sunny was making these and wanted to try them. The one confusing part of the recipe was heating the oven to 400 degrees but it doesn't say what to put in there (stuffed peppers, I know and for how long! So, I improvised...I filled the peppers with the meat mixture (substituted the bread for panko bread crumbs, cooked on both sides for 5 minutes each, topped with cheese and put into the oven. Cooked for another 15 minutes (or until bubbly to make sure the meat was cooked through the center. The only thing I didn't use at all was sage (didn't have any on hand but overll the recipe was absolutely delicious!

Honestly, I thought my grandmother's meatloaf recipe was the best. I have been eating that meatloaf with her for 20 years! Sunny's recipe proved me wrong! This was a fun new way to make meatloaf, and anytime my pre-schooler finishes her plate and asks for seconds, I approve!!

I was disappointed in this recipe. I followed the recipe except I browned them in the pan for 8 minutes on each side. They all came out raw in the middle. I would definitely recommend baking them longer. My family also thought they were "mushy". I think I'll stick to my tried and true stuffed bell peppers.

Made this for dinner tonight and enjoyed it. Hubby & I agree it could use a little more seasoning & that you can definitely cater it to any style you'd like. We are thinking we'll try it a few more times; Mexican seasonings, bacon & cheddar cheese mixed in, etc.

Holy cow, this was SO good! It looks fancy, and is a great spin on everyday meatloaf. I added some mustard seed and white pepper to my mix, and I sauteed the onions and garlic before adding it to the mix. Turned out AWESOME! Husband loves it, will definitely keep this in the repertoire.

I was a little skeptical about a "new meatloaf" recipe. I mean, don't we all have our favorite meatloaf recipe? I have to say though, this was really really good!! It is similiar to the one I use regularly anyway, I made a few alterations, I used only turkey meat, no beef and I used yellow and orange peppers, mostly because it is what I had, but I also like the sweetness from them rather than the bitter green peppers. I also had to add about a cup of bread crumbs because the mixture was a bit too wet for me. Frying them in the pan first before the oven really helps to lock in the flavor. Simple, Easy, Good!! Nice one Sunny :

This is so delicious and a fun way to do meatloaf a little different. I use yellow and orange peppers when I make it because they are sweet.

I've made this several times to rave reviews! I didn't have the crushed tomatoes so I subbed a can of Italian style diced tomatoes along with a can of tomatoe sauce and it came out GREAT!! Another must try recipe from Sunny!!

I made this recipe last night. It was great, easy to follow and was very tasty. I substituted tomato sauce for the crushed tomatoes to make the sauce because we like our sauce thicker, it still turned out great. My husband raved about the dish and I will be making this recipe again.

I changed the cooking process very slightly to suit my needs instead of finishing on the stove after browning rings I transfered them to a baking dish and topped with the tomatoes baked them on 300 covered for about 30 min then 350 uncovered for 10 more -- whta a hit!! my family went nuts - they have requested them again!!
