I never made scones before, but thought this recipe sounded easy enough to try. I found that a whole pint of blueberries was a little too much, but other than that the scones were fantastic! I'll definitely be making them again with other fruit. The recipes was very simple to follow and only requires a few ingredients!

I've never been to Scotland so I can't vouch for the authenticity of the scones. Most scones I've had in the States are hard and dry, and these came out a bit more moist --- like a biscuit almost. Not sure if that's good or bad for a scone, but the taste was great. I liked it with or without the glaze. However, I didn't know how long to cook the glaze exactly, and wasn't too sure what a double broiler was (kinda new to baking so it turned out sorta like marmalade. Still yummy though :

I just love this flavor of fresh fruit and citrus glaze. I used limes instead of oranges and added strawberries to the scones. They smell wonderful in our kitchen but not lasting long. I recommend this to anyone.

They tasted excellent and sweet, the glaze makes the scones nice and moist.

The scones themselves were awesome. However, the orange glaze I thought made them soggy. I was wasn't a fan of the glaze. I would make the blueberry scones again.

Easy to make and delicious! They were a big hit with my bf's family. The scones came out so moist. I had a lot of glaze left over but it made a wonderful topping for a bread I made the next day. I would recommend just using fresh fruit. I tried a batch with dried cranberries but it just wasn't as melt-in-your mouth as the fresh blueberries.

These were nothing like the scones from a bakery, or scones for that matter. They looked great, tasted okay, but were cake-like in the middle. I followed the recipe to a "T" yet they were a disappointment.
