I made these for a neighborhood party. Those who were not "afraid" of jalapenos loved them. I thought they were really easy to make. I like food really hot so by following the recipe they tasted excellent but they were not hot enough for me. When I make them again I will probably reserve the seeds from the jalapenos and mix them in with the sausage/cheese mixture to add some kick or slice up some habenaro's to mix in with the sausage.

We were having a BIG community bbq I had just gave birth to our son about 2 weeks prior to seeing this on big bite. Feeling overwhelmed I fretted over what to bring besides our new son. I watch the episode memorized the recipe and gave my husband a shopping list. I had to quadruple the recipe and it turned out fabulous!! It was such a hit that it's requested as a "bring that or dont show up!" Even our daughters 17 & 12 enjoyed them and they can't stand spicy. I love when recipes are easy and crowd pleasers. Kudos to Guy. Keep the ideas coming.--Kimber Azusa, CA

I made these for a New Years Eve party and they were DEEELIIISH!! Everone said it was their favorite appetizer there!! I will be making these again and again! Next time I'm going to get double the jalapenos so the filling distributes evenly. Thanks Guy! Wonderful recipe! A keeper and one to pass on to the next generation!

Guy, this is exactly the appetizer I needed for my cookbook. This is absolutely amazing. Decided to try this out for a pre-Thanksgiving party (I eat a lot around the holidays and everyone loved this recipe. The recipe calls for 15 jalapenos, but I think there was enough stuffing for 20-25. I think the recipe needs some sort of herb in there. Next time I plan on making some with rosemary, thyme, saffron, and sweet basil to see what herb would be best in this recipe. I also threw some chopped bacon on top of the jalapenos with the mozzarella and it was delicious. Still, this recipe is AMAZING, and I only got positive reviews from the party.

these are a real hit. everyone devoured them like they were candy . the worst part was cleaning the jalepenos but certainly worth it . i have made them sevarl times now and using cream cheese is just fine no real difference . the first time i made them i followed the directions exactly then i used cream cheese the next time and did not notice the difference except in the cost . much cheaper to use cream cheese and if you have a mexican market near you go there for the peppers because they are cheaper than safeway and lunardi's . Don't even bother with whole foods as i call "whole paycheck" they are outrageous and andronico's i call "park and rob" forget it worse then whole pay check .
now whenever i get invited to a party these are the request for me to bring .

I absolutely love this recipe and could not stop eating the filling while I was stuffing the peppers. I substituted "soyrizo" (vegan chorizo for the Italian sausage and vegan cheeses, and it still turned out amazing. We served this at a few parties to vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores and it was loved by everyone. The leftover filling worked well as a dip; great for people who can't handle the jalapenos. I'd love to try deep frying these next time...

Made these for a poker party last weekend and they were devoured. Everybody loved them.
The recipe makes twice as much filling as needed for 15 peppers. The sausage takes at least 20-30 minutes to fully cook. It wasn't very spicy, so I would suggest using hot sausage or adding something with some kick ( jalapenos or some other type of pepper to the mixture. Used Cream cheese as we had that in the fridge, will try marscapone next time.
This recipe is definitely a keeper, perfect party food.

This recipe rocked. The only thing that I would do different is mix 1 lb. of sausage w/ maybe burger, not sure what yet. It was awfully rich, but delicious!
We will definitely make them again soon. Especially w/ all the fresh jalapenos fromt he garden. Definitely a keeper.
