I normally don't write reviews but LOVED this soup. I substituted whole milk for cream because I did not have cream handy. It is a great recipe for kids too!

My husband took one bite and said "I'm so glad I married you". We've been married almost 9 years and he's never made a food-inspired comment like that before! This soup was so easy and tasty! I like that it doesn't use a lot of milk and cream, as the broth thickened with flour is already creamy yet light. I added about 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese because I was afraid it would be bland, and it was delicious, but I think I'll try it without the cheese next time to keep it light.

Wonderful taste and texture. I replaced the cream with 3/4 cup nonfat yogurt. Also used veggie broth instead of chicken.

This was super flavorful, and easy! My family loved it, we topped with grated cheddar cheese and a must have is the homemade croutons!!!! Will definitely be making again!

wow this was great! I made it for lunch today and we loved it. I didn't have cream so I used 1% milk and it was still great. I had a large bag of broccoli from Costco that needed to be eaten so this was perfect. I think I'll make another batch asap

I just finished making this soup and I'm almost out of words to describe how delicious it is. How can something so simple and quick be so delicious - the Neelys out did themselves on this one. I did add 1 garlic clove and since I didn't have cream I used buttermilk - so good. This recipe is now on my favorites list.

Quick tasty soup, I used whole milk instead of cream. Will try with cream next time and maybe some cheese.

I made this last night it tasted exactly like what I was looking for tho I did leave out the carrot. Thank you again for another simple delicious meal.
