    What a great reward I got for trying this recipe! It has such a clean, fresh taste, without the distraction of any spices or mayonnaise. Other syles of slaws are fine, too, but for a pure taste of summer make this one. I thought a whole head of cabbage would produce slaw for an army, so I halved the recipe, which was the right amount for my household.
