This recipe is very good. I love to bring this recipe out in the summer time for small parties. I just use the regular charcoal grill or the oven.

OMG! I am NOT a cook. But let me tell you, this had to be the moistest most flavorful chicken! I used a food processor, like the other reviewer suggested, to chop up all the ingredients and mix together. It made the whole process soooo much faster. I really think the final searing on the grill is what makes this chicken. My husband thought the bbq sauce was fantastic. He goes is that a bbq sauce base, I said nope ketchup. He was very impressed. Can't wait to make this for a big family dinner!

Ones again Jamie delivered the best possible flavor. I cooked this dish for my friends and family and they all absolutely loved it, so did I of course. BRAVO Jamie!

I don't see why I would ever use a bottled barbecue sauce again. By making it yourself you know there are no artificial ingredients. Using organic ketchup makes a difference, it is a little more expense but there is no high fructose corn syrup and it tastes more tomato-ey.
Note that if you are making the full batch the recipe on this site is wrong, it is supposed to be a full bottle of ketchup, not 1/2 a cup.

The sauce had a lot of orange flavor, which was good, but if you want to cut down on the orange a bit I'd suggest using less zest because you'll need the orange juice to help thin it out.
Also I used a food processor to chop up the zest and the fresh herbs and garlic since I'm not the knife pro that Jamie is. I used a cheap coffee grinder to grind up the whole spices.

This recipe was very easy to make and the flavors were right on. It was cost effective because most of the ingredients for the sauce were already in the pantry. We bought a whole chicken that was already cut up for under $6.00. We followed another reviewer's suggestion and used about a half a bottle of ketchup. The sauce was sticky and delicious and the chicken was moist and had great flavor from the charcoal grill. After reducing the sauce, I strained it thru a sieve so it was very smooth. We will definitely make this again!

It smelled great when I was cooking it but my kids didn't like it at all. I thought it was ok - but I won't make this again.

Very good! It's important to really mince the orange peel, garlic and herbs. Also, I will cut the olive oil in half next time. The reduced sauce was excellent. I added more ketchup (Jamie uses almost a whole small bottle of ketchup on the show and a little bit of honey to sweeten the sauce.

This is terrific, I have served it twice in one week to company, I used a bone in pork loin. Everyone loved it.
