This is really good, but it does need to simmer. I let it simmer for about an hour and the flavors realy meld and sauce gets thicker. Super easy to make. This has become a Sunday dinner favorite.

definitely will make again. I did have to cook it a little longer to thicken it up like some other posts suggested. P.S. dont over do it on the allspice or you'll ruin it

I personally thought this recipe was light and tasty. I added extra parsley to my plate. However my husband did not think so. He prefers the jar sauce over this.

I really enjoyed this take on spaghetti-meat sauce. I could barely taste the allspice (which is how it should be, since it's there to add depth, not flavor, and did not experience the wateriness other reviewers did, but then again, I had the heat up at medium-high until I added the tomatoes, so most of the liquid would have been evaporating until simmer time. I did simmer the lot for the full 10 minutes (after all, the longer a meat sauce simmers, the better it is. I tossed the whole lot with the rigatoni instead of half mixed, half on top (personal preference. In the end, it was quite robust and filling. Served it with garlic bread & salad. As an alternative to my standard Spag Sauce, I'm pretty sure I'll be making this version again.

I added 1 TBS dried oregano and about 20 fresh picked cherry tomatoes [halved] from my garden. I simmered the sauce until the tomatoes stewed. BORDERLINE FANTASTIC! Thanks Manny and Rachael for this easy, yet delicious recipe.
