From reading all the reviews...the amount of crab meat has been posted on this site incorrectly. Why don't they correct the mistake...it is one pound of crab NOT one cup. I am disappointed in the web-site....that is a huge oversight.

Made this for dinner tonight and was highly disappointed. First, I cut back on the mayo as previous reviewers recommended, and it probably could have had a little more breadcrumbs. I thought the crab meat cakes lacked in taste. I did make the remoulade but didn't care for that either, and will pitch it. I think it was a time consuming and expensive recipe to experience a so-so taste.

The recipe as written on FN is wrong. It should be 1 pound of crab meat - not 1 cup. After reading other reviews, I reduced the mayo to 1/3 cup in the cakes, and roasted the tomatoes for only 6 hours.

With these adjustments they were delicious!

Like many reviews before mine, the mayo was a little much so be careful...add it a little at a time and it will come out perfect! The flavors are wonderful and SUPER rich. I will definitely be making this one again :-

Overall the crab cakes were the best I have ever made, I could have used a little less mayo but they turned out great and the sauce was wonderful.

This recipe turned out pretty good. My Husband really loved it. I did have to make some adjustments though.

First. Everywhere the recipe calls for mayo, start with half the called for amount. I followed the recipe exactly and ended up with a goopy mess that would never have held together. I ended up having to add about 3/4 of breadcrumbs.

Second. You need at least a pound of crab for this recipe.

The flavors were good but the proportions were way off so the recipe needed tweaking.

Wow, were these great! Even my children loved them and they're little people! I used all of the same measurements called for, with the exception of the crab meat...............I used one pound instead of 1 cup and the cakes came out amazing. I loved the sauce, too! I also added lettuce and muenster cheese at the end and used kaiser rolls instead of foccacia bread because that's what I had in the pantry.............will definitely make these again! Yum!!!!!! :

I followed the recipe exactly except I used more than 1/2 cup bread crumbs. The mixture seemed to be too gooey without it. I ended up with 7 patties so I took the left-overs to work the next day. Everyone sees me watching Paula and Robin M. at lunch hour and teases me about cooking some of the recipes and bringing samples to work. Well that is exactly what I did and everyone was excited to try them. The Crab Patties were a hit and many wanted copies of the recipes!!!!
Thanks Paula for sharing another wonderful recipe!!!!

I used a pound of crab and added mayo to taste, using less than called for. They ended having great flavor, but as written, this recipe would be repulsive.

Everyone has different taste & style in the way they cook. You should ALWAYS adjust seasoning, etc. to your taste. Following a recipe can be tricky, but trust your TRUE taste and seasonings as you go along. Yes, crab is very expensive. Make the sauce, marinade, etc. before you add the most important (expensive ingredient to see if it suits your taste. (Just like after making meatloaf, you pan fry a little bit to check the seasonings before you bake it.

At times, there are some errors in the web-site. IIt happens to everyone.

    Go Paula!!
