These were outstanding! Don't tinker with the recipe, though it seems that the flour isn't enough. You should have a firm dough when you are done and it shouldn't be too sticky. Really chopping the chocolate seemed to make a big difference. This is my second try and the first ones were a bit flat, so I made sure the chocolate was very coarse before melting. The second time I baked them for only 11 minutes, as opposed to the 14 in the recipe and they came out perfect.

i tried to bake these twice, and both times, the cookies ran together. I just can't understand why they won't hold shape. The tasted awesome, but I'd like to get it right all around. :(

These are great. Yes, if you bake a lot, as I do, the flour amount given seems very short HOWEVER if, as others have posted, you chill the mixture (20 - 30 mins and keep refrigerated in between batches, much like many sugar cookie recipes - no problem. Truly delicious, and no need for extra flour if chilled. Ant they taste very very good! (and I omitted the nuts, which may well be a factor in the consistency of the dough/batter.

I haven't tried this yet, but for those who made it and it didn't turn out: Make sure your baking powder isn't old. I was told it should be replaced every six months or so because it loses it punch and you end up with flat blah baked goods.

This is possibly the best cookie we have ever had! No more plain chocolate chip cookies in the house. Our 16 year old loves to bake and besides a little help monitoring the melting chocolate, did this one on her own.

These cookies are amazing!! They have a slight crunch on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. The only thing I changed was I only added 2 cups of sugar and not the 2 3/4. They were still really sweet. Also, in my oven they only took 12 minutes to bake and not 14.

Very Tasty! My roommate made these and she added about an extra 1/2 cup of flour because she thought the dough looked runny at first. If you let it sit for about 10 minutes the dough stiffens up and the extra flour isn't necessary.

They are great! I do not consider myself a baker but the cookies turned out perfect. The favor is wonderful. Using the icecream scoop made them look very even. Will serve them to family and friends. Thanks for another keepable recipe.
