WOW!! This was awesome! So let me just say I read ALL the reviews others gave this before I started. I could not find fish stock or seafood stock so I used the shells of the shrimp and one shrimp bouillon cube. P.S.I used frozen shrimp and just thawed them and then cut them up as the recipe says. I also took people's advice, I added 2 red potatoes cut up. I cooked them and added them when she says add the stock(remember cook them ahead of time at this time I also added a can of kernel corn. I used a whole yellow onion to sautee with yhe celery and garlic, and I used the green onion at the end and topped the whole dish with it. One more thing it definetly needs salt and pepper at the table. I hope all that try this enjoy it as much as my family did! Thank You Paula!

This was a restaurant quality soup. Thanks Paula for a wonderful soup! My changes were, seafood broth, 1/2 of an yellow onion, instead of green, diced, 2 cloves of garlic, and about 1 tsp. salt. I did throw my chopped raw shrimp into the hot thickened broth to cook, and it worked out great. So much great flavor! The croutons were a great addition.

So much easier than other recipes for shrimp bisque that I found. I had frozen shrimp stock from shrimp shells I had boiled previously and that really added a nice flavor. I also added chopped red pepper-the vegetable, not the spice, bacon bits, a tablespoon of tomato paste, parmesan cheese and Tone's cajun spice. My husband loved it too. So easy, so easy.

This was so simple and absolutely delicious!! I made it with heavy cream and added no more than a 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste. I also could not find fish stock so I used chicken stock and added clam juice, with the salt and pepper it gave it the taste that I was looking for. So good!!!

I just finished cooking this and it was good. Like other reviewers said, it was a little bland so I added salt. I couldn't find fish stock as well, instead I used the water from the lobster and shrimp I boiled in and added a little shrimp bouillon. I figured I couldn't go wrong with shrimp stock since it is called Shrimp Bisque and I was right. It tastes so good. Also added potato to thicken it and it was creamier. Will definitely try again. Made this to accompany the Roasted Cornish Game Hen. Wonderful :o

I could not find fish stock, used clam juice and it was delicious. I cut back on the stock by 1 cup. Added left over lobster and extra shrimp. Next time I make this I may add diced cooked potatoes to make it a bit thicker. All enjoyed it.

This was great! I cut the celery and added more green onions because I don't like celery. I added salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper at the end. Even my soup/bisque hating boyfriend liked it. Thanks Paula!

My husband and I love this. It was first time making a Paula Deen recipe. I even took a picture of it and sent it to my brother on my cell phone. His mouth was watering through the phone.

I made this recipe last night and after adding some additional seasoning, it was good. I couldn?t find fish stock, so I used seafood stock instead, which worked well. I used fresh raw shrimp and let them cook in the bisque and I also used a yellow onion (didn?t have green onions. I made the recipe as instructed and found the taste bland. Once I added the additional seasoning (salt, pepper, etc, it turned out really well. I?ll probably make again and try adding some crabmeat.
