I like bread pudding, but this one is THE BEST I have ever eaten!! My husband does not care for bread pudding, he calls it "soggie bread"!! This bread pudding he loves though!! Its more like a custard. Its a cross between creme brulee and bread pudding. Its very very good!!!

This is a great dessert. Moist, delicious and easy to make. I made a few adjustment to it though. I added 2 more croissants, cinnamon and raisins. I also served it with a rum caramel sauce. Big hit with the family.

It's a good tasting dessert, but I think you need to use more bread than it calls for, probably at least seven croissants, to soak up the egg mixture. Very rich tasting when it comes out of the oven, but reheated leftovers (recipe says cut into rounds and reheat in microwave tastes too much like French toast. Maybe using more bread would help with this.

I attempted this recipe with hesitation because I hadn't seen any reviews. Let me just say that this recipe is not only easy, but delicious. It does take a few steps, but it's worth it.
