The best part for me is the sweet and sour sauce. It's quick and easy and made from everyday things I have in the cabinet. I love not having to go to the store to buy special ingredients and I can use it on my chicken when I'm in a hurry to make something quick for my kids. Love it!!! Thanks alot Rachel Ray. ;

I didn't have the green pepper or the green onion, so I just used the red pepper, a sweet onion, and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. I also added more brown sugar to the sause because I have a picky eater that loves anything sweet. All in all everyone loved it and my husband has requested it to be a weekly meal.

I personally did not care for this, but my husband loved it. I might make it every couple of months to please him, but I think there are so many better sweet and sour stir fry's out there, especially when you consider the cost of the ingredients. Red Bells where I live can be 1.99 a piece! Also, I could not find edamame so I substituted sugar snap peas.

I made this recipe tonight for dinner and my husband and I loved it!!!!!!!!!! I had second thoughts after the mixed reviews with the "sauce thing". The sauce was quite good and was very tangy. Lots of Vitamin C with all the peppers and I made brown rice with the dish. Very good and will make again! Thanks Rach!

Not good. I followed the recipe exactly. The sauce tasted like the ingredients - a mixture of ketchup and yellow mustard. Yuck.

This dish was quite simple to make. I ran to GreenLife after work and grabbed the fresh ingredients. It was done in no time. I changed just a couple of things due to personal preference. I served it over rice that I cooked in chicken stock instead of the ranch potatoes, although I will have to try the ranch potatoes another time. They sounded wonderful. I also added cremini mushrooms to the stir-fry. Next time, I'll make a little extra of the sweet and sour sauce as we like things really saucy.

Just hearing the ingredients in the sauce can turn you away from this recipe but it is tasty. I served it over noodles and made a more traditional stir fry with red and grenn pepeers, carrots and broccoli. I shared the sauce recipe with my sister and she says it is a winner.

I didn't try it over the potatoes because it really didn't float my boat for taste buds. I used the stir fry over Basmati Rice and it wasn't anything to write home about, but I was surprised at the flavor of the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and soy sauce together. It wasn't nasty, but definitely wasn't the greatest either. One of those meals that if you have everything for it and can't think of what else to make with it, give it a whirl. Works decently well with chicken and mixed veggies as well.

Ok, I have to admit. Sometimes Rachael kind of freaks me out with her off the wall combinations of foods. This time was no different. I saw the show where she made this, and I was intrigued. I'm always looking for a good beef recipe ( I feel bad constantly feeding hubby chicken, and I'm so glad I gave this one a chance.
The ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, soy sauce sounded beyond gross to me, and I almost didn't make it, but boy am I glad I did.. The sauce was awesome, and once it cooked down, it lost the "ketchup-y" consistency and also gained a great tang with the mustard.
I didn't used the edamame, (mostly because the only ones in my supermarket where still in their pods and I didn't have the time to fuss with pods!. So, I subbed broccoli for it and it was great.
I didn't do the smashed potatoes with it, something about stir fry and mashed potatoes didn't seem appetizing. So, I made it with brown rice to up the healthy factor and I had a home run dinner. And, unlike many of Rach's other recipes, this one truly is a 30 minute meal. ( Sorry Rachael, you know I love you but I can't tell you how many times you're "30-minute-meals" have turned into a an hour long production and then some.
This has just become my go-to week night meal on a time crunch. Plus, all the veggies and brown rice make it super healthy. And....in response to another comment about this being unhealthy. I guarantee you this is WAY WAY WAY more healthy than anything you will get in a take out box. So there.
