If I could give this zero starts I would. THERE IS NO CREAM OF TARTAR!!! These are just sugar cookies with cinnamon. I was in a rush while making this recipe. So by the time my dough was done, I gave it a taste and noticed there was no cream of tartar in it. EPIC FAIL! To make it worst, I made a double batch too.

I think they taste really good, however, they were flat and this did not make me happy. I will be searching for a better recipe.

I made these for Christmas and have been asked by many for the recipe. They were simple to make and came out great. Unlike other Snickerdoodles that I have made, these remained crisp days later. I will definitley make them again.

Me & my 3 & 5 year old girls made these the other night on the fly. I had never made these before so I wasn't sure if they'd turn out good or not. I read some of the reviews and decided to just go with the recipe and see where it goes. It went awesome! My girls and I loved making them together. Instead of putting the sugar & cinnamon in a bowl, I put them in 2 seperate sandwich bags and let the girls shake the balls and they placed them on the cookie sheet. It made about 3 1/2 dozen cookies. Took them with us to the pumpkin patch for snack and served them to some friends. They really liked them too. Awesome recipe. This is definitely a keeper in my Recipe Box. Thanks Gale.

Any seasoned baker knows that baking powder contains a good amount of cream of tartar. It's not a perfect substitute, but the recipe doesn't ask for it.

I got about 3/4 of the way done (all dry ingredients mixed with this recipe before I noticed that this recipe didn't call for cream of tartar. FAIL. I panicked and then added two teaspoons of cream of tartar. The cookies came out great and tasted great and my wife and son flipped over them but secretly I know that these were almost not snickerdoodles but cinnamon sugar cookies and it makes me sad. The two stars are for trying to pass a cream of tartarless cookie as a snickerdoodle. ADD 2 TSP CREAM OF TARTAR to simulate snickerdoodles.
