Best Fish Tacos ever!! Made changes as below with crema of sour cream and yogurt. Also used fresh black sea bass fried in Pride of the West batter.

My husband and I love spicy food and these tacos really deliver. I cannot believe the only tacos I had before age 30 were ground beef with Old El Paso seasoning...blah!

I made two small changes. I cut down a bit on the garlic because it can bother my husband's stomach, and I added a teaspoon of vinegar plus a pinch of sugar to the cabbage. Just to add a bit more mix of flavors.

I plan to try them with marinated pork too, as we do not do much frying.

Loved the flavors and textures of this recipe. Crisp shell on tender fish, crunchy cabbage and smoky crema. I sped up the crema by mixing the chopped chipotles into 1/2 a cup of sour cream and 1/2 a cup of plain yogurt.

We made the tacos EXACTLY to the tee. They were out of this world. We used tilapia fish and we used shrimp also. The salsa was outstanding, but the chipotle crema was too watery. but tasty. Next time we will use more sour cream in the chipotle crema. It was as good if not better than Rubio's fish tacos!!!THE PERFECT FISH TACO!!!!

I crave these fish tacos and make them once a week. I have tried several differeint recipes and these are the best I have ever had. I mix 2 Tablespoons of the seasonging mix with 1 cup sour cream for a wonderful dip!!

This was sooooo good!! Even my skeptical husband loved it. I too only mixed whole milk and sour cream w/the peppers and it tured out great. I also used a bag of cole slaw for a topper and then combined the left over crema mix w/the the left over slaw for later side. It was perfect mix.
