Used only fresh picked blackerries, but used Jamie's topping and it was a major hit with vanilla ice cream.

I make this all the time, but without rhubarb most of the time. It totally rocks!
Impress your dinner guests everytime with this yummy treat!
I sprinkle cinnamon and chilli sugar on the top when baking for a zany twist too!

I am a trained chef who as most do stinks at baking. I tried this cobbler and was so amazed how good it was. I used 2 bags of frozen rhubarb and 1 bag of frozen mixed berries along with a bit of corn strach for the fruit then followed the rest of the recipe for the filling. The only change I made to the top was I baked it for 10 min. first then topped with the sugar and finished the baking. I'll use this again and again with this and other fiillings.

When making this recipe please note the self rising flour. Most recipes call for all purpose flour! Unfortunately the top of my cobbler did not rise. I used 3/4 lb Strawberries and 3/4 lb rhubarb for the fruit part and my friends thought it turned out lovely spooned over vanilla ice cream. Leslie,Southlake TX

This is a great simple recipe. I used frozen mixed berries, cut back a little on the sugar because they were sweetened to begin with, and they worked perfectly. The flavor of the topping was wonderful! I will absolutely make this again.

Jamie Oliver is a genius! This was an amazing dish; it had the entire family talking. If you make this dish, I recommend using about 2 peaches (sliced instead of the 2 apricots and pear. Absolutely phenomenal.
