Excellent recipe, easy to follow. The only wine I had on hand was Takara plum wine which went great in this recipe...Takara is a sweet caramel plum wine great for baking, cooking and of course drinking! My guests loved this tiramisu, I highly recommend this recipe.

what a great recipe! The idea of wine in my tiramisu made my stomach flip a little, so i replaced the 1/2 c of wine in the custard with 1/4 c of scotch whiskey and 1/4 c of cream. It could use a bit more whiskey but i was afraid it would be too strong- next time i will use more. And so to soak the cake I used espresso and whiskey. It came out super duper delicious! I love that the cheese layer is separate from the cream and the extra chocolate layer. it really makes the whole thing much more special- make sure to do it in a trifle dish or glass pan like he says because the different brown toned layers are so pretty! I can always count on Emeril to take a basic recipe and kick it up a notch (or like a million notches Love you Emeril!!!! you are my inspiration!

I am not a raw egg person and love the fact that this recipes call for cooking them! I used Mascarporne cheese instead and it came out finger licking good!!

I have not made this recipe yet but after reading the reviews i will definitely try it and i love desserts with some kind of liquour so this is going to be great for me, and also not so expensive for the ricotta 'cause mascarpone tends to be i bit to expensive where i live.
Thank you Emeril!

I MADE THIS FOR FATHERS DAY AND OH MY WAS IT DELICIOUS. I DIDNT EVEN USE THE WINE, I JUST USED MORE COFFEE AND IT WAS PERFECT!! ALSO I ENDED UP MAKING DOUBLE THE BATCHES OF FILLING TO GET MORE LAYERS. LIKE ANOTHER REVIEWER SUGGESTED MORE LADY FINGERS WERE NEEDED. I EVEN PUT SOME AROUND THE SIDES..WILL DEFINITELY MAKE THIS AGAIN!!

Excellent recipe. One word of caution. Buy more cookies. I bought 7 oz. and it wasn't enough to fill the pan. Other than that, it was fantastic.

This recipe is SOOOO good! After reading the comments about the lady fingers, I only soaked the flat side of the lady fingers with the wine. I also made a creme anglaise to accompany it and my wife loved it. Definitely a keeper!

I was on a quest for the best Tiramisu recipe - and this is it!! Great flavor and I especially like the fact that the egg yolks are cooked in a custard.
