Excellent and so easy! The only key to this dish would seem to be ensuring that you get sushi-grade tuna. Also, lightly toasting the sesame seeds in a saute pan further adds to the flavor. I made a little extra of the marinade and put it over spring mix, and it was also excellent. I had always thought there was something special to making this dish when I'd eaten it in restaurants-- not so, even I can do it!

It really is as easy to prepare as the recipe reads! DO NOT OVERCOOK!

I frequently make this recipe indoors on a cast iron pan on high heat. Skip the sesame seeds though, unless you like to hear your smoke alarm go off. Takes about 2 to 2.5 minutes a side for 1 to 1.5 inch steaks -- your stove mileage may vary.

just cooked this last nite and it was great. cut back on wasabi powder. 1/4 cup just seemed way too much.

I loved the taste of the seseme seeds and how it blended with the richness of the tuna. Don't overcook or you'll be sorry. Enjoy it rare and live a little. This recipe is great for hot summer months when you don't want to slave in the kitchen and heat up the house. The tuna goes especially well over a spinach salad.

Used this recipe a year ago for the first time with unexpected guests as I was preparing it for dinner. One hour marinating time was enough to make a hit. Nice to see the recipe recipe with rave review. Definitely will go into "best recipe" file!

I cannot express how delicious this tuna is. You also will not believe how simple this dish is to make. The hardest part was finding the fish. It was great with Alton's sesame parsley salad.
