This is my go-to dessert recipe. I've made it many times and it always comes out great. I use splenda for baking and a sugar-free cinnamon syrup to cut down on the sugar. It comes out awesome and guests often ask for the recipe. Also sometimes I use dried cherries with the raisins. Yum.

The taste of this bread pudding is excellent. This was my first try at making bread pudding. My husband's grandmother always makes the pudding for my husband. I was glad to note that this recipe was a little different w/ the raisins. We all loved it.

You can tweak this to your own taste but it's wonderful as is. Next time I'll use a bit more rum and a bit less sugar. White bread works fine too. We had this warmed for breakfast this morning.

Added a ayrup with butter, sugar, rum and vanilla essence and put back in the oven until the top bubbled and it was fantastic.. Another great one from the Neeleys..

I did the dessert table for my great aunts 87th birthday party. I had planned on doing a bread pudding and could not find my grandmother's recipe. It must have been meeant for me to try this recipe because it was online and when I turned on the foodnetwork channel there was the Neely's making the same recipe. It was a hit, everyone loved it and could not get enough of it. Thanks Pat and Gina for your contribution to my Aunt Helens 87th birthday party.

This was my very first time ever making a bread pudding, and I made it for my
families Easter brunch. Was it ever a hit, there was none left! I made one very
slight change to the recipe, instead of regular milk, I used vanilla soy milk. YUM-MY is an understatement. This dessert has been requested for the nest family
    gathering.

As I watched Gina pour that rum in on the show I knew it wasn't as lethal as how we do it here in Jamaica......I just finished making this but cheated with the rum....gotta taste that rum...had to add a little more sugar but other than that? YYYYYUUUUUMMMMM! Thanks Pat and Gina

This is the best. I dont like the custart style bread pudding, I love the texture and it had just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my sweettooth. My 4&5 year old loved it the only thing I heard while they were eating it was smacking. ! Thank you Neelys!
