Sorry Bobby, this one was just horrible. I am a lamb lover and like to experiment with foods however this particular one just did not hit the 5 star panel. Didn't care for the raita either. Hubby said it was ok but then again he has an iron stomach and will eat just about anything. Looking for another lamb challenge. Thanks and will keep watching! Seemed like Alli wants a bit of the spot light, nothing wrong with that just bring a better tasting recipe next time!! Until then, GO BOBBY FLAY!!!

I want Ali to have his own show on Food Network! I made this dish and it was absolutely delicious and different. FN does not have a show on indian cuisine. Ali has the star energy to bring viewers in. Thanks for the show. Grill It!

I think Avi should have his own show on the Food Network. He has a great stage presence, articulates well, and has great cooking skills. Moreover, his expertise on Indian cuisine would offer something new to the Food Network.

I saw this recipe on tv and I knew I had to try it. I read the reviews first and implemented the changes that were noted (i.e. 1/4 teaspoon of cardamon and greek yogurt for the marinade. I had to go to the store to buy some spices that I normally don't use such as the coriander and cardamon and I was worried that I may never use them again if this recipe wasn't a hit. But it was so good!!! I will definitely make this recipe again...maybe with chicken. The raita sauce was also delicious...it had a nice crunch from the cucumber and onions. I didn't use cumin seed...just ground cumin. I also stuffed the lamb in a wheat pita bread.
I used the left over lamb for my mixed spring salad (for lunch and used the raita sauce as a dressing...it still tasted great! I can't wait to try Bobby's other lamb recipe that was aired with this one...the curry lamb.

I made some changes to my recipe. Instead of bread I used wheat pitas and made lamb pita pockets. As the earlier comment lesser cardamom works better for this dish. But the marination made the lamb taste very delicious. In all the pita pockets tuned out very good and everyone enjoyed them. You can use this recipe to make just tandoori kabobs. Try it!

We used boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of lamb and it worked well. After reading the reviews I did decrease the amount of cardamon that was used. Also since he was draining the yogurt, I went ahead and used greek yogurt since it already thicker than american yogurt. Because I was serving this meal to my kids too I eliminated the jalapeno so that it would not get too spicy for my girls.

These guys work out really well together. I always enjoy Bobby and look forward to seeing Avi again. What a team! Can't wait to try each recipe but since my new kitchen is under construction I'll have to wait!

Way too much cardamom for this recipe I suggest cutting it back to 1/4 teaspoon. I followed the recipe exactly measuring all ingredients and the cardamom was so overpowering! The Raita sauce was good. I will try it again and let you know but be careful with the cardamom!!!

Today I achieved making Indian Food for my family that they all loved. The show that aired today was fun to watch and motivated me to try new mixtures of flavors. I prepared it with chicken and grilled it.
I did have to toss te meat with some oil near the end of the cooking cycle because the meat seemed dry looking. I just served it with a large fresh salad and used the dressing as a salad dressing and dipping sauce. Every one from 82 to 2 yrs. of age enjoyed it. Keep the fun grill recipes coming. thanks again.
