Great, easy, French-like macaron type cookie. I have made these for many years. I scale back on the sugar by half, as they are a little too sweet for my taste(allow the sweetness to come from the chocolate chips!. Also, I bake them at 350 for 10 minutes and they come out perfect!

These aren't your traditional chocolate chip cookies, but they are really good anyway. Lightness of a merengue with if you use good dark chocolate they are nice and rich

I have made these time and again. Always popular. Great flavor for a light cookie.

This cookie is not what you think. It is not a scaled back version of a chocolate chip cookie. It is like a "Forgotten Cookie," a merangue cookie with chocolate and pecans. Now this is VERY SWEET and tasty when you have the sugar-jones, but NOT a substitute for the Toll House variety. By my calculations it has 95 calories, 5.5g of total fat, and 2.125 of saturated fat per cookie. This doesn't make for an ULTRA LIGHT cookie...especially if you are like me and one cookie isn't going to do the trick for you. Looking at a prepackaged Tub style chocolate chip cookie, you can make one of those for 130 calories each. I am sure there is more fat in those, so make your own call. I enjoyed these cookies and would make them again. Just KNOW what you are getting....

I think these cookies are wonderful! Instead of adding the nuts, I leave them out and substitute them with mini chocolate chips instead. This makes the cookies chewy and have a mouth full of chocolate in every bite!

It is a different type of cookie, and is NOTHING like a traditional buttery, chocolate chip cookie. I enjoyed them because they gave me the chocolate taste I needed.

I enjoyed the cookies, but I was a little concerned about the calorie count. This would be useful information especially for someone watching their diet, as I am.

I tried this recipe some time ago and, while it might be something different to try, it's no substitute for a chocolate chip cookie. It's more like a crispy meringue (hence the "ultra-lite" in the title - the taste, texture and feel are all completely different. It should be avoided by anyone who wants to make a healthier version of a cookie but still maintain at least some of the attributes. Overall, I'd try this only if you're looking for something absolutely new.
