I called a friend and told her what I was going to try to make for dinner. She was at my house in a flash. Good thing she came so quickly, because the meal was very easy to execute, and I had it on the table in no time! I had just happened upon some yellow zucchini that day, and remembered the recipe I saw Jaime make. We will make it often!

Don?t let the lengthy instructions scare you. I followed the recipe by watching the show alone; the whole meal took 40 minutes to make (better cooks could do it faster. It was easy. I have made Oliver?s stuff before. His food is easy to make and absolutely delicious. This carbonara was no exception. We had guests over and they commented how the sauce wasn?t creamy (like Alfredo which would have been a turn-off for them. The egg yoke sauce was thin, rich and coated the pasta evenly. We all had seconds and I plan to make this again. Grab yourself some wine and dig in?

Simple to prepare and his tips for making the carbonara were spot-on. Adding the veggies really lightened up an otherwise heavy dish.

I'm never made a carbonara before so I was surprized at how easy it was to make and how good it turned out. I did however have trouble "frying" the zucchini as liquid started coming out of it before it got golden...purhaps my elements aren't hot enough. In addition, I only used 3/4 of a jumbo zucchini from my garden - 6 medium sized zucchini seems like an awful lot, although I really don't know how the dish is suppose to look.

We watched Jamie do this one over the weekend and I just had to try it! This was really great and easy to make! I didn't have Thyme, but used Basil from the garden and it was still really really great! Even the kids liked it and they are often hard to please! I really recommend this one!

This dish is fantastic! It satisfies the urge of a creamy pasta dish, without the calories. It's light, silky and tasty! The fresh vegetables with the bacon are a great combo. Superb!
