We really liked the roast. There is a much better recipe for pesto on FN under Texas Style Pesto with Pork Tenderloin and Spanish Rice. This pesto recipe the olive oil over takes taste and the horseradish is too bitter. Combing recipes was the ticket for us!

i thought that this was tastey and juicy. but i did roast the garlic before i shmeered the roast to take some of the sharpness out. also for the person who said it was too tough. you have to look at the meat and slice it against the grain.

I did not like the cut of beef. The rump roast was a little too tough even though I cooked it to about medium rare and sliced it thin. Next time I will try a different cut of meat but the cilantro and horseradish was delicious together!

Not usually a fan of this show, but now oh yes! I marinaded the meat for ten hours and cooked it for 2 ( I like it rare Hubby not so much, beautiful crust, tons of flavor I didn't even need bread! The cilantro pesto was so bold I would love this on a shrimp and pasta dish, I also tried horseradish and sour cream which was so yummy on the tender, juicy meat!!! Thank you for a great new recipe, oh and we are only two people so leftovers for 2 days:

I love flavor in my food. This recipe did not have enough seasoning for the meat. I marinated it for 3 hours and still no--Sabor. Next time I will put much more seasoning. The meat was tender.

I just can't seem to ever get enough cilantro - and this dish is perfect for somebody like me. The meat was nice and crusty from the cilantro rub and the pesto was so flavorful that I didn't even miss the bread (I'm trying to stay low-carb.

Thanks for the recipe - it's a keeper...

The pesto compliments the beef better than I could have imagined. I grilled the beef and it came out perfectly. My husband raved.

Mine ended up in the marinate for about 2 hours. I've never cooked a rump roast before and was surprised at how tender and tasteful it is. The marinate is outstanding. Like the title of the show, this roast was 'Simply Delicioso'. Great recipe Ingrid.
