Delicious! I also used less kosher salt. This will be a regular in my kitchen from now on.

I bought swiss chard on a whim at a farmers market and this was a perfect introduction to the vegetable. As another reviewer did I also subbed chili powder for red pepper flakes and also tossed in a dash of garlic powder because i only had minced garlic on hand and didn't want to go fishing them out or risking them burning. Thanks Anne.

I loved it, although I did tweak it a little for me. I crisped up the bacon (only 4 strips first and reserved it. I dumped all the fat except what coated the pan and continued with the recipe as written. At the end, I crushed the bacon and stirred it in. SCRUMPTIOUS! I love chard anyway and I'm always on the lookout for ways to prepare it. This will be repeated many times. (I don't beat up on Anne for her use of salt on the show. Understand that much of it has to be theatrical to drive home the point that salt is important for food to taste great. Trust your judgment. Here I also used less.

Thanks to the reviewers who said the extra salt wasn't needed, I agree; and to the reviewer who warned about soggy bacon. I removed the bacon after cooking, crumbled it and added back during the leaf wilting step. Nice and easy dish.

    This recipe was great.
I do have a problem with the previous reviewer. She is cooking in her own home for herself. She is not in a competition and therefore has no need to take a clean spoon every time she tastes. I know when I cook for myself and my husband I go ahead and use the same spoon every time. He doesn't seem to mind.

This was my first time having swiss chard simply for the sake of having swiss chard; I've had it in other dishes. I tweaked the recipe by using turkey bacon to cut the fat and calories. Not sure how much salt in the bacon contributed to the taste, I would cut the added kosher salt in the future if I make this again so I can taste more of the chard.

I don't think I've ever really made swiss chard before. I've made it three times since the episode aired. We love it. I wouldn't change a thing. This is why I love this show and Anne Burrell.

We loved it. Very good recipe. The bacon gave it flavor. Did not use half cup of chicken broth. Used about 1/4 and still came out tasty.
