I made this just last night and it was amazing. My husband usually has to eat seconds to get full and with this that was not the case. So filling and easy to make, took no time at all. I couldn't use the bell pepper beacause I'm allergic but that was ok and I added creole seasoning. Gave it a nice kick. I soo will be making this for my Mom when we visit back home.

it was good. I didn't have garlic which ***** but I like it. It worked just as well with beef sausage if you don't like pork.

This is an amazing tasty dish. This is my go to dish when I want to make something quick and something the family loves! I make it at least once a month and I use turkey sausage. Amazing!

Because I only had Dirty Rice once before and I didn't care for it and saw that this was a different version I couldn't wait to try it. 10 Stars isn't enough. This was not only easy to make, but the taste was out of this world. My family gobbled it up and then were disappointed there wasn't any leftovers. I followed the recipe exactly and there wasn't a grain of rice left. Only change would be to adjust the cayenne for individual degree of heat. I did put the bottle of cayenne hot sauce on the table to add more if wanted. THANK YOU Pat and Gina for a recipe that will be made over and over. This one is definitely a winner.

This was the first recipe I tried of the Neeley's. It came out very well. My family loved it. I got rave reviews.

We loved this, even though it's not "dirty rice" like I grew up with in Louisiana...it's actually better for a complete meal. It's flavor and taste are reminiscent of gumbo. It's just fantastic and definitely will be repeated in our house. Even my kids ate it, though one complained of it being too spicy (he always does. We cut the cayenne in half! So good. We used 1 cup brown rice and 1/3 cup wild rice instead of 2 cups long grain white rice. The combo was the bomb! Enjoy!

Well I couldn't find simple smoked sausage so I had to settle with pork sausage with maple, sadly it doesn't combine well with cayenne and the holy trinity.Tis what happens when you live in Quebec. Hard to find the ingredients I sometimes need.

I have made this several times and am making it again tonight! I was a little uncertain serving it to a couple friends who have Cajun roots [one is from LA and another lived there for several years]. They both ate it up! I didn't make it hot enough for them but they remedied that with some hot sauce! It's a great recipe and easily doubled for a big crowd. Thanks Pat and Gina!
