I made this for my boyfriend's birthday and we could not stop eating it! IT WAS AMAZING! He loved it and so did everyone else. I pretty much followed the recipe but I substituted the ground pork for beef, used parsley instead of oregano and Pecorino Romano instead of Parmesan. The entire thing was fantastic and sooo easy to make.

This is now a permanent staple in my recipe collection. The pork wasn?t too overpowering and the sauce was just right for it. Thank you so much Aida!

I saw the show that this was made on and thought, "hmm, that looks easy and quite good. I think I will try that". I have never made lasagna before, so I followed the instructions to the letter. How on Earth did she end up with that llittle tiny thin lasagna? TWO cans of 28 oz crushed tomatoes, 24 oz of ricotta cheese? I didnt even get to use the whole box of lasagna noodles or all of the ricotta because there was no more room for any more layers. I thought it was kind of odd that there was no base layer but thought, surely a person w/their own cooking show knows what they're doing..... yeah right! I think I will stick to Allrecipies.com

Followed the recipe to the letter except used a combination of asiago and romano in place of the parmesean. Simmered the meat sauce for an hour. Put it together with the no boil lazagna noodles. The house smelled amazing while it was cooking. The final product tasted even better than I could have imagined. The proportions of cheese, meat sauce, and pasta were perfect. This totally rocked! Thank you, Aida!

This recipe did not call for adding sugar which was what attracted me to it. I never add sugar to any savory sauce. In my opinion it is not necessary. Try the recipe first without the sugar and I bet you won't miss it. Save the sugar for dessert.

One of my coworkers ate some of this lasagna and he couldn?t believe that it was homemade! I made a few adjustments to this recipe and it was still AMAZING. Using sausage as a base instead of ground beef makes this lasagna unbelievably delicious. I used 1 and a half lbs. of sausage and I also substituted ground beef for the ground pork. I omitted the wine and used water to scrape up the bits on the bottom of the pan. I also added some sugar to the sauce to cut the tanginess out of the tomatoes. Overall, this recipe is a major winner and this will become a staple in my house. Couple this lasagne with some cheesy garlic bread and a nice salad and it is good enough for company! My fiance has been eating this for lunch AND dinner for two days now! Thanks Aida!
