Delicious! My family loves these scones. I make a couple batches for holidays. They eat them for breakfast; then nibble on them all day long unless I hide them. I have also taken them to our Red Hat teas and they are a success there too.

Delicious, but needed much more bacon to please my bacon needs. Also, my dough was a little dry, so I added more cream. I'm not sure why this happened, but the extra cream definitely fixed it! I will make this again, just with more bacon!

I made these for a teacher breakfast at my son's elementary school but I tasted just one before sending the rest to school with him. They were VERY delicious! I used buttermilk instead of cream and added more bacon as a lot of reviewers suggested. They were easy to throw together too. I plan on making these for Christmas morning to eat while the kids are opening presents.

Very delicious! My boyfriend's family loved it when I made it for them! They were very satisfying and made a great snack for brunch! The only change I made was to double the bacon slices, substitute the heavy cream with sour cream and brush 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp milk on top of the scone before putting it in the oven. This made the scone turn a beautiful golden brown.

With lowering the fat content and using some whole wheat flour, I was slightly concerned that I would sacrifice moisture and flavor....not so! I used 3/4 c buttermilk, 1/2 c of half and half. I also used 1/3 c whole wheat flour and 2/3 c all purpose flour....magically delicious! I also topped with Stonewall Kitchen's Roasted Onion and Garlic Jam! mmm! mmm! mmm!

These are absolutely scrumptious. I used a little more cream, added some italian parsley and brushed the tops of the scones with the cream with some texas pete hot sauce...for a little heat. Then about 5 minutes before taking them out of the over, i sprinkled some cheese on top. I will definitely be making these very lightweight scones again.

These are really good, especially with soup. I didn't cook them the full time as they got golden. They are really yummy. I will be making them again.

Personal opinion...reliable and terrific taste and texture. As another review indicated (onions vs. chives...chives were delicious and more delicate. Enjoy! Annie,Fremont, CA

I love this recipe! I wanted to make a lighter version today to go with my spring asparagus soup so I omitted the bacon and used fresh chives from the garden. I agree that it needed a little more cream to get the dough right.

Great flavor and great texture. I have tried many scone recipes and none came out like the scones I'd try in bakeries--except this one. My kids loved them too, which was surprising considering that they usually prefer sweet over savory.
