I've made these for the past three years and can't think of making sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving any other way! Sometimes the sauce doesn't thicken as much as I would like it to so I just whisk in one or two tablespoons of cornstarch.

I don't like sweet potatoes but this was SO good. It will be my sweet potato recipe from now on.

You have to try this recipe. It is sweet but not too sweet with just the right amount of spices. I'm addicted to it now. My daughter's boyfriend said he could have ate a whole plate of just sweet potatoes. This is a keeper.

Emeril needs to have this girl cook more on his show.

My guests could taste the liquor and orange zest, more than the other flavors . was not a good balance.Too much work for the results

These were by far the worst sweet potatoes ever! Absolutely terrible. These "Kicked Up" potatoes nearly got me "Kicked out" of the family Thanksgiving dinner. They were hated by all 12 of the guests. Emeril recipes have been very good in the past but this one needs to be pulled from the website.

I'm getting nauseated just thinking about this recipe.

It was great and delicious!!! It was my first time to ever bake sweet potato anything and just imagine, it was for our get together at work to celebrate Thanksgiving. One of my co-workers had asked me for the recipe and well I forwarded this recipe to her email address. Everybody loved it. Though one thing...it did get watery, as stated on one of the comments before me, but other than that it was yummy for my tummy!!!! Thanks.

This is the third Thanksgiving dinner where I'll be making these. Even my son, who never liked sweet potatoes, loves these.
Just Emeril showed, I stick the vanilla bean into a sugar jar when I'm finished making the dish. It makes great vanilla sugar.

    Love it!

I made these for a family Easter dinner and I can't believe the response I got. I only got a taste. People kept coming back for more till they were gone.

Definitely will make this crowd pleaser again.

The recipe will feed about 35 people. Even cutting it down to two sweet potatoes makes a big batch. We love this recipe; it's way better than grandma's outdated mushy yams with marshmallows!
