My family loved this recipe!!! We tried one of someone else's recipe from Food Network...hands down this one is the best!! And no one ended up with that chili heartburn. We will make this over and over again...in fact I am making it tonight for work tomorrow! Everyone loves the cornmeal waffles.

Loved it! Used a red pepper instead of green......black beans instead of ranch style....added a little cayenne pepper...and used deer meat! I just made corn bread as well...Delish!

The chili was Fantastic! I love the twist of the Ranch Style beans instead of just regular Red beans. My husband loved it too (and he is very picky. I didn't make the waffles though...instead I just used corn bread. It all came out great!

I didn't make the waffles, but the chili was excellent. Being from Texas, I was concerned about corn in the chili, but it added a sweet taste and a nice crunch. Very easy and quick. Try it!

Simple, innovative and delicious. Sure, there are tastier chilis - but this recipe was quick and straightforward. The waffles were a tad too heavy, next time I will decrease the amount of cornmeal.

So easy and so tasty! Since I didn't grow up in America, I have no family chili recipe and am always looking for a good chili recipe. This is a good start.

This is my husband's absolute favorite chili. We double it and use ground bison for the meat so it is super low in fat.

I didn't make the cornmeal waffle part of the recipe, but I did make the chili. I ate the chili along with the Neeley's honey cornbread muffins and it was wonderful. The only reason that it didn't get a full 5 stars is because it is a bit too spicy for me. Instead of putting in the entire amount of chili powder that the recipe called for I only added a pinch. Other than that little minor thing this recipe is very, very tastey!
