I made these tonight with a few tweaks based on what I had on hand. It was really tasty! I don't usually buy jarred "cheese", so I improvised with a mixture of melted monterey jack and cream. I really didn't want to make a huge batch of "house seasoning", so Instead I sea salted and peppered to taste. To cover the missing garlic powder I added two extra cloves to the mixture. The filling looked bland to me, actually didn't look appetizing - as they say you also eat with your eyes... so I added some chopped frozen spinach which brightened up the color and the nutrition. Really easy to prepare, delicious and economical.

I love Paula Dean. I really do. But if I followed her recipes to the letter, I'd be as big as a house. I made a healthy version of stuffed peppers using ground turkey. Each pepper is about 200 calories. Recipe's on my blog ellebeaugrease blogspot com

These were pretty good. I guess from all the reviews I was just expecting them to be awesome. For me there seemed to be something lacking in the way of flavor in the meat. I followed the recipe exaclty so I don't believe I did anything wrong. I would make it again but would add something to it to kick it up a notch.

This is a great dinner. But for a healthier version and still a great taste I omitted the sour cream, and cheese. I also added an additiona1 tsp bullion granuals to the meat. I used 2 sweet italian sausage in place of the ground pork just because that is what I had on hand. These were the best stuffed peppers I have ever had.

Everyone loved this recipe. My husband who "doesn't really care for stuffed peppers" LOVED it. I had everyone asking for the recipe. Thanks again for another great meal and for making me look like a cooking genius!

Sooooo good. I used ground chicken and Italian sausage with chicken bullion instead of beef and pork. Husband said don't change a thing. Definately a keeper.
