I made this recipe on a warm spring day and it hit the spot like nothing else. I'll use less sugar next time because it wasn't tart enough for my taste.
This is a great recipe.
I added some strawberry syrup I had in the fridge (just take frozen strawberries, add sugar and let the fruit thaw over a double boiler, remove the strawberries when they've thawed and let the syrup reduce and had some strawberry lemonade.
It was really sweet with the syrup as well for those who thought it was too tart.

This is VERY easy and quick but most of all, it is yummy!
My kids loved it and wanted me to make 15 batches and lots more sugar!
Ina always has fabulous recipes and this is no exception!

This was my first time making lemonade from scratch. It was so easy and the blender made it faster than stirring and hoping the sugar would dissolve! I just made sure it was to my taste (as Ina recommends and adjusted the lemon juice/sugar appropriately before pouring it into the serving pitcher. It was a great hit, and next time I'm going to at least double it to make sure we all (party of 4 get a full second glass or more! I wish I had seen this recipe earlier!

I made this for a gathering and it was a hit! I needed to use a little more sugar to bring to taste. Ahhh, so refreshing!

This recipe is very close to my good friend Marion's. Except she creams the lemon juice with the sugar, then boils the water and adds to lemon mixture. She then refrigerates it until very cold and serves over ice with mint. Extremely lemony and delicious!
